Everything about Akash Piramal & Isha Ambani’s Wedding

Mumbai high society is gearing up for the mother of all big weddings – that of Isha Ambani, the daughter of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani. Isha is marrying Anand Piramal, the scion of Piramal Group. So it is a wedding of two of the richest families in India. While the dates were being speculated upon, media reports say that Isha’s wedding may happen soon than anyone expected – in December 2018. As more details emerge of the ceremonies, it appears that it is going to be one of those grand affairs that will be talked about for a long time.

Anand had proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. According to sources have confirmed that Isha and Anand will tie the knot in a string of ceremonies around the world at the best of locations. The couple will apparently get engaged in a beautiful ceremony in Italy the last week of September (probably on the 21st). After that, the Piramal and Ambani families will have their pre-wedding ceremonies in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The ceremonies will take place between the last week of November and first week of December.

Pre-Wedding Ceremonies in City of Lakes

Preparations for the pre-wedding ceremonies are also going on in the beautiful Udaipur city. The wedding is to take place in Mumbai and the date of marriage has been kept Dec 12. This will be the grand wedding of the country. This wedding will include all the great personalities of the country’s politics, business and cinema.

ENGAGEMENT: ITALY, SEPTEMBER 21

As per several media reports, it was rumoured that Akash, whose engagement ceremony took place in Mumbai on June 30, will tie the knot first in a string of ceremonies to be hosted across the world. However, that may not be the case. Sources confirm that Isha will get engaged to Anand on September 21 in an elaborate ceremony in Italy.

Day 1: Events and Dress Code

On September 21, the Ambanis will host a welcome lunch for their guests at the hotels they are staying at. The event has been given the name ‘Benvenuti A Como’ – Welcome to Como’. The dress code for this event is casual chic. This will be followed by a celebratory dinner from 5 pm at Villa Balbiano in Lake Como in Italy. This is being called ‘Amore E Bellezza’, which means ‘Love and Beauty’. The dress code is Indian formal and it’s also being called a ‘black-tie’ event.

Day 2: Events and Dress Code

Next will be ‘Fiera Bella Italia’, which means ‘Beautiful Fair Italy’, an Italian Fiesta at Villa Gastel on September 22, Saturday, with a ‘Como Chic’ dress code. In the evening, there will be dinner and dance for guests at Villa Olmo and the event has been called ‘Italianissimo’, which means ‘Truly Italian’. The guests will be dressed in a cocktail attire.

On Sunday, September 20, the Ambanis will host a celebratory lunch for the guests at Duomo di Como & Teatro Sociale Como. The event is being called ‘Arrivederci Como’ that translates to ‘Goodbye Como’. The dress code for this is smart casuals.

PRE-WEDDING BASH: NOVEMBER-DECEMBER, UDAIPUR

Sources say, the families have started finalising locations for the pre-wedding ceremonies; and Udaipur, Rajasthan, will be the place where the celebrations will be held in the last week of November and beginning of December. Representatives of Ambanis and Piramals were apparently present to finalise the hotels in Udaipur. With both the high-profile families picking the City of Lakes as the destination for the ceremonies, it is likely to see the presence of some mega celebrity guests.

ISHA’S WEDDING: DECEMBER 2018, MUMBAI

As per traditions, the girl in the family gets married before her brothers. And looks like, in keeping with it, Isha will get hitched before Akash. All the festivities are likely to be followed by Isha and Anand’s grand wedding in Mumbai on December 12.
